Dr. Paydar graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA, with college and departmental honors, and a member of the honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. After four years of medical school, he trained in general surgery for six years at the prestigious UCSF program, where he received an NIH grant during his research year there. He then applied for the most competitive field in surgery and entered the plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at UCSF for two years.

Dr. Paydar has published articles in multiple medical journals during his residency and many more post graduation. His work has been published and he has presented both nationally and internationally. He has also written book chapters and edited a self published book on breast surgery called “Personalized Breast Care.” 

His contributions to breast reconstruction surgery has led to a patent in which the modification of the often used Acellular Dermal Matrix improves breast reconstruction by enhancing the shape, minimizing office visits and number of operations needed, while decreasing pain and recovery time. He is among the top plastic surgeons yearly voted on by peers and patients alike. Dr. Paydar has been selected yearly since 2014 for Orange County Medical Association’s Physician of Excellence, featured in Orange Coast magazine.
